Melting Slicks
. However, be aware that the color will be removed along with the sticky film, leaving the airbag cover just black. I read that someone had good results applying one of those spray dyes for rubber/vinyl afterwards. Let us know how it goes

Burning Brakes
I purchased a dashboard cover from one of the forum vendors. I use it when ever I am in a constant hot sun situation. Parking beach, open lots, etc.

Yea a very common C5 issue. Great advice posted above (including the beer). I initially tried Goo Gone (citrus based) but it didn't seem to do so well. I didn't have Goof Off handy so I ended up using a degreaser and that worked very well.
