I just received a set of black carbon fiber lettering from RPI for the rear of my Millenium Yellow C5. I was ready to install them, when I realized I wasn't sure if I should remove the red plastic lettering already on the car, or place the new lettering on top of the already existing lettering. Instructions don't say. Anyone have any experience with my dilemma?? Tried calling RPI, but of course they're closed til Monday.
Remove whatever is on there now using a hair dryer to heat the letters, clean it with alcohol, make sure it's perfectly clean and apply your new letters... GOOD LUCK!

Yeah, I was leaning that way. Not sure if the red plastic looking letters are stock for a C5, but I think the black will look better with the Yellow. Thanks.

Inwould definitely remove the old lettering before installing any new lettering. Otherwise should the old lettering start to lift, it will take the new with it. Plus I’m not sure how well the new lettering would stick to the old stuff.
