When I had a Red Top in the car, I did keep it on a Battery Tender Plus when it was in the garage.

I have a battery cut off and it causes me no issues....Flick the switch when I go for a drive, flick it back when parked in the garage,,,Being doing this for years with zero issues ( except the clock reads wrong but I wear a watch and have a cell phone anyways )
