Nope, pain in the ***. I take my wheels off frequently and using the key is just a pain. Any wheel thief worth a damn will get your wheels off if he really wants too. I sleep maybe 20 feet from my car in my house, and my work lot is safe, so wheel theft is a minor concern of mine.

I do not use wheel locks on my car. Too much of a hassle and the wheels are not super expensive to begin with.

I use 2 different sets on each wheel but my car stays outside under a cover.
1 is an acorn type that has a specific groove (4) on each wheel that is known to be able to be removed by slamming a tighter socket on it and just wrenched off,
the other (5th lug) is a type with a swivel outer ring that prevents the first scenario from happening as easily.

If they want my wheels (CCW) they are going to have to work for them.
It would be easier to just steal the car but its blocked in by my girls suv and my truck.

No, because they can be removed just as easy as regular lugs nuts with the right tool. I'm using the stainless steel lugs from VMS Racing .

I used to, but since it's garage kept, and I don't really park anywhere for extended periods of time, they were only hindering me.

No

I only park at home and at a highly secured facility other than a trip to the gas station/meets etc

Nope. My daily driver has locks, but only because it came from Infiniti with them already installed. My Z06 does not wear locks. Just spline-drive lug nuts.

Because...

a) I rarely leave the Z06 unattended when I take it out, and it is garaged when at home.

b) For most wheel thieves, wheel locks are not difficult to remove. If they want your wheels, they will take them.

No.
Home = garage
Work = private lot
Don't park it too many other places enough to bother (besides, don't think there's a huge market for stolen factory wheels here).

I live in nyc, park in the street, and am one of the few who actually likes the thin spoke polished look. If mine got stolen I'm 90% sure I'd just replace with the thin spokes. Anything else looks out of place in my opinion.

So yes I made damn sure I got myself a wheel lock kit when I got my c5

Mine came from the factory with wheel locks - I think they dropped them after a while. I kept them originally as it was my DD and was liable to be parked in all kinds of places. Later, when I bought new wheels, I got a new set of locks more out of habit than anything. Put them on our other car too, mainly because a replacement OEM wheel is close to $500, and again it gets parked in all kinds of places.

I use wheel locks, not for the wheels, but for the tires. I just replaced them and they were expensive.

Took me 3 minutes to remove all 4 locks without the key. It might take a seasoned expert 30 seconds.

I bought a set for my last car, but never put them on. Somewhere in between buying them and installing them, I realized a few things...

1) I have to keep the key in the car in case I get flat and need to put on a spare or get the flat fixed.
2) Thieves know that.
3) If a thief wants my wheels, they'll just smash the window and check the glove box / center console / door pockets / trunk...
4) If I hide the key, the thief will trash the interior to find the key before running off with the wheels.

So then I'm out a set of wheels and I have a broken window and a trashed interior.

I'm not sure that's a win.
