Ever changed a fuse? After folding over the floormat, pulling the carpet cover off the fuse box, opening the fuse box door, replacing the fuse.... the trouble started. I spent 30min. just trying to get the fuse box door back on. I couldn't for the life of me get the damned screw **** to line up with the hole. After a lot of profanity, a lot of apologizing to the better half for the language, I finally said the hell with it. I put the fuse cover up so it would stay, shoved the carpet piece up against it, and then the floormat against all of it. Anyone know the trick to lining it up? I sure don't.
This may sound like a dumb response but did you try rotating the cover 180*? You may be trying to put it on upside-down. I haven't had my cover off in awhile but in the back of my mind I think the cover appears upside-down when installed correctly.

I’ve had that fuse box cover off several times and it is a bit of a pain to get it back on. Do like the others have said and have the lettering upside down at the top and it should go on.
I'll repeat what's been said; lettering should be upside down. If you're trying to install it "right side up" you've 180'ed it and need to flip it around.
