Inside height needs to be 10 feet. That would allow you to put the Vette up and leave room for most vehicles under it. If you can get a larger footprint then go 26 x 44 10 foot door and 12 foot inside ceiling 10x10 back door; front 18 x 10 Hurricane Florence prep.
high.
As great as all the wonderful advice is listed here, if you have a fairly firm budget to keep and limited to size, you are painted in a corner. Bigger means footings, footings = $ (at least in a frost area).
If you have to keep it small, attic trusses and drop down steps are a must. 9-10' ceilings a must. I have a 9' ceiling, wish it was 10'. I just purchased and installed a Twin Busch 2 post lift (9,200lbs, $1499.00 +300 shipping, good quality, happy so far) the posts are about an inch from my ceiling. I can get the bottom of the car close to 5' off the ground, but haven't measured it to be exact. Wishing I had that 10'ceiling. We all want the biggest man cave possible. Good luck with the wife
I was going to install a metal 10 X 20 shed for my C5, but I have instead decided to use the shed to store all of my lawn care equipment, and the stuff that's taking up space in our two car garage (right now there's so much stuff in there, there's only room for one vehicle), so I can park the Vette in the garage. I've been told that metal sheds sweat like crazy. I wouldn't want it doing that on my Vette, but I don't care if it does this on the other stuff. The Vette will be much better off parked in the garage...

All great suggestions. I would just add Some others:
1) garage door size. The bigger the better. At least 9ft wide and 10 would be ideal. Minimum height 8ft.
2) side door so you are not up and down with big door every time you go in and out.
3) insulation heat and air.
4)running water with a utility tub.
5) decent fluorescent lighting.
6)at least 30 amp service for good welder.
7) lots of power outlets.
8) air compressor with drop down hose.
9)drop down electrical line.
If you still have money in budget after above, add these:
1) frig for beer.
2) big screen
3) place to put used beer (toilet).
4)comfy seats.
That should do it.

<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->It all depends on the height of the garage. Near my flat was built a garage with many floors for everyone that lives in the neighborhood. Everyone who wanted to have a place t park the car there paid a fee so when it was finished. We already had a parking lot. A parking lot cost seven thousand dollars. So it is four stairs, so the company that built it needed a scaffold tower. They rented it from petesuen.com. It produced a lot of noise while building, but now we don't have problems with parking in our neighborhood.

Welcome to the forum! We're really glad to have you. I understand that this is your first post. We would ask that you look at the age of a thread before posting. Unless you have a specific related question, it's best not to post to a thread that's over a year old. Thanks!
