My wife doesn't want to use the yard storage shed. Whats every thing kept in the garage and thinks there is plenty room for the vette. We finally agreed on building one for the vette. She said can't go over budget,(right that's going to happen) It's not going to be big 20X25, but the only thing that will be in it will be the vette and my tools. They start next week.
Even if you don't install one right away it wouldn't hurt to bulk up the pad for a future 2 or 4 post lift.
Concrete is cheap.
You might want to fancy up the garage floor with a sealer, colorant, or epoxy coating before you move in, too.

P.S.
If a lift is possibly in your future you'll want a higher-than-usual ceiling. <g>

If that is the case make it at least 36x24. You will be amazed at how much you will accumulate in the next 10+ yrs.
20x25 is fine for 1 car and a bunch of crap as long as said crap is shelved within 3 feet of the walls. I used to house just one car with tons of crap in my 20x20 and the extra 5 feet of depth would have made it perfect for just the one. Personally though I'd like a 40x60 to house my camper, trailer lift, and trucks in addition to a healthy 3 car attached. Then you have room for non-car BS as well. I'm currently renting an aircraft hangar as a stopgap until I can get a real house on a decent chunk of dirt.
My garage is 20X20 and feels pretty cramped even with one car and all my tools. You might reconsider the size especially if it's possible you might do some kind of lift.
My recently built garage is 18x26 with 10' ceiling. I have most car stuff in it and some hand tools. I have a shed that houses lawn mowers, outdoor furniture and an array of odds and ends. I agree with others if you can swing it bigger is always better.
Get on the forum GarageJournal.com. You will find every topic from concrete to cabinets. I learned a lot from the forum and am very happy with my build.

Are you going too install a lift? If you do, you have to start out 4000 psi concrete, at least 6" deep. If you plan on a big lift, consider 12" footers for their base.
Good luck.

No matter how big you make it, it's only a matter of time before it's too small
THAT is the truth!!! And if you want to enlarge it, 10-12 years from now, it will cost a LOT more than the original garage cost you...….trust me, I know from personal experience.
I just put together a 30x30 and I'm glad it isn't any smaller. I also have a 12x15 shed for all the lawn and garden stuff. I can fit the Vette and my CC dually and still have room to move around and work.
