Thank you for allowing me participate. This is my 2nd Corvette. My first one was a c3 1969 350/350 4 speed convertible. Had it 16 years. Sold it in 01 and wanted another ever since but I wanted one the year I retired which was 1997, and I found one, it is Torch Red, w/removable top, auto. I said the next one was going to be a turn key and this one is.,,,,,,,,, I have a question on Insurance. Right now I have it with Allstate and I feel they are high. Have done some looking and found Hagerty. Does any one know any thing about them. Their quote is considerably lower with the same coverage as Allstate with a couple of minor difference. Would appreciate and all input. Thanks in advance.

I had my 71 with hagerty and they were cheaper than my auto owners. I never had a claim so I don't know how good they would be. Never heard anything bad about them. When I sold the 71 5 years ago and bought my 2000 it was cheaper to go with auto-owners under a bundle plan so I switched.

Have Hagertys for my 98 cheapest I could find no restrictions, so I CAN go to the grocery store or anywhere else I want to go. My ins agent told me to get Hagertys save some money for the same coverage (full) and get a set dollar value replacement. No problems so far been 4 years.

Had Hagerty and they were fine with coverage for my older classic cars. Switched to Grundy when Hargerty could not insure a custom car. Grundy is very reasonable and more flexible on their set value policies...just have to document how you come up with value. I have not filed any claims to date so cannot offer any insight. Both are very reputable companies so should be safe either way.

JC Taylor is cheaper than Hagerty but they have more restrictions. If your going to use it as a daily driver that would not be a good choice but if it's just to shows and pleasure drives you should look into them.
