The 17x8" and 18x9' might work but you would be limited in the size of tires you can mount. You would want to check the tire manufacturers recommendations to ensure you mount the right size tire. You will also need to check your wheels offset.
Remember, too, you will want to keep the rear tire diameter at least 1/2" taller than the front tire diameter (and preferably 1" taller) to maintain the correct stagger for the ABS and traction control.
Question, though: Since wheels in the C5 base size are so prevalent why would you want to go to a smaller size for the wheels?

OK, the first post in this thread was moved here in error - it should be in the Ask Tadge section. I am working on getting this resolved. and in the meantime, please disregard that first post. Thanks.

If you read the thread on GS/Z06 wheels bending in the Ask Tadge section, you would know what this is about. His post was made in the thread many months after Tadge answered a question posed to him. I do not anticipate Tadge answering in response to what the member posted but that's beside the point. As I said, the post was moved to C5 Gen in error.

(edit)
That and I avoid C7 gen like the plague.

The thread that was moved to C5 General by mistake has been transferred back to where it belongs. Please feel free to respond to twa1457's original question. Thanks.

C5 base wheels (stock rims) are: Front 17x8.5" and Rear 18x9.5" (not19x9.5").

Torq Thrust would be cool; shame they don't make them in C5 sizes.
Best wishes with finding another series that gives you a great look!
