Drive it home, save the shipping and get to know the car.

If you have, or can take, the time driving the car back home would be a great period to learn more about your particular car.
Enjoy your ride once you have her, and save the wave!

Regardless of the low mileage now or in the future, I think #1 will always smell "fishy" to the next owner which will be #9 after you. Couple that with the accident, I'd walk away. I mean, what's up with so many owners in so few miles anyway!?? Just because it's a Corvette dosen't mean lemons don't happen! A funky history is the kiss of death for a car's value retainage.

And I agree too - go drive it #2 home if you can.

Good luck!

I would pick option #2. As for the 7K miles more, just know that these cars are built to go 200,000 miles or more. One just went into the Corvette National Museum at over 800,000 miles.

Both cars are exactly the same. heres the difference

z06 #1
  • 34k miles
  • $19k
  • 7 Owners with an accident reported in 2009 (Clean Title)
  • $650 to ship (After I go see it don't worry)
z06 #2
  • 41k miles
  • 18.5k
  • No accidents
  • $1075 to ship (I'd go see this one too before buying)
I will be driving about 7k miles a year, so basically the one with 34k miles gives me a free year of driving basically, but then it has an accident. I am new to this so I would love your experienced opinions. -- I plan on selling in about 4-5 years.
Thank you,
Shems
I would choose #2

Poor spelling and grammar aside, did anyone else laugh out loud when they read this statement?

"This guy is my identical twin, except he looks slightly different"............

If all other factors are basically equal, I would go with vehicle #2. I will always choose a no accident vehicle over a vehicle that has sustained damage, again, if all other factors are basically equal. Ownership history also counts in my mind. A single owner history is preferable to a car that has been through many owners. The aforementione is opinion only, but one that has been formed through many, many car transactions, both buying and selling, having been in the car hobby since the 1960's. Good luck and best wishes to you whatever you decide.
