Default Tires

Looking for some recommendations please.
Have a 98 coupe and want to upgrade tires and wheels.
Really love the CCW SP16 or 505’s but CCW tells me current tires
need to be larger.
i am considering 305/35r19 for rears with 275/35r18 fronts. Would this set
up work for fitment and profile? Would this aesthetically look appropriate on
the car? What issues might I encounter with these tires? See some posts about
traction control, lowering the car, etc.—-
Everyone here is really helpful with their input and recommendations!
Thank you!!!!

That would likely prevent Traction Control (TC) from ever kicking in if needed. The diameter of the 275/40-18 is 26.7" meaning the delta in diameter would be 0.7". The general rule of thumb for tire diameter selection for the C5 is that the rear tire diameter should be 0.5" to 1.5 " larger than the front tire diameter to avoid TC issues. Under 0.5" can cause TC to kick in when it is not wanted/needed. Over 1.5" can prevent TC from being activated if needed. Factory delta on the OEM tires was about 1"
very helpful!! Thank you!!!

Great advice from 8VETTE7!
Hope you'll post some pics once you have your tires/wheels swap completed.

Running 275/35R18 front 305/30R19 rear and have no TC issues/warning lights - fit nice a flush.
I went with Hankook VENTUS V12 EVO2

The ratio is 0.7" which is within norms and close to factory.

Not sure. Wheels are offered in 10, 11 or 11.5. Not sure what would
look best on the car??? Any recommendations?
