Think I asked this question before and did not get much information. I keep getting asked what exhaust system I have by other vette owners, more so c5 owners because mine sounds much different than theirs. I have an 03 anniversary edition with the anniversary pkg. with a lot more than a regular 03 came with. My exhaust has a deep mellow growl to it as others have a normal sounding more quitter sound. Does anyone know anything about this exhaust. Do not think it was a mod as it was owned by a women who kept it all stock and little use. Any information would be helpful. Have done some research and found nothing about it. Thanks much

It's either stock or aftermarket. The 40th didn't have a factory option for something else. If you can take a picture of the underside of your car, it would certainly help us to determine if it's stock or not. Headers, X pipe and/or axle back will all change the tone.
I agree.. ALL C5s came with either a STOCK LS1 exhaust system OR If you ordered a ZO6, it came with an LS6 package which included better exhaust manifolds, and a different Ti CAT Back which did sound different than the LS1 system. Unless you hav a ZO6, all C5 exhaust systems are basically the same.
NOTE! Some model year C5 used a PRE CAT directly after the exhaust manifolds and before the actual primary CAT. The 2001 C5 ZO6 also had that PRE CAT.

will try for pictures. Not a zo6. 50th. AE pkg. all stock.Anniversary red and Shale vert.
If it's all stock, small oval tips (post tip and underside pics), and seems louder than others... you probably have a leak. And if so, probably the typical rear tube to flange breakage.
Stock tips, and thus likely mufflers, for sure. Your car is not 100% stock BTW, light louvers and letter inserts just from the rear alone, so a PO may have done some mods.
If yours is indeed louder than others; you either have a leak, somebody removed the cats, or replaced the actual mufflers, there is something wrong with the muffler(s), somebody installed headers...

yes, not completely stock. I added the lettering and louvers along with grab handle wrap covers inside.
went onto you tube to hear c5 stock systems, mine seem to sound the same, but some say mine sounds better than others. Really does not matter, was just curious about if the AE came with a different system. Thanks all for feedback.
