Your wife will really appreciate seeing that you are wearing the jacket that she thoughtfully bought you.
Nice job on the front turn signal bulb change.
I bought the C-5 t-shirt at Advance or Autozone, which ever it is that has them, and while I didn't think I would wear it much, it has instead become a favorite running around shirt. No one has ever looked twice -- and I'm betting the jacket will be the same.
That said, if it's an XL and you put it on the for-sale page...

I bought one with the C3 logo on it small on front and big on back it was nicely done, I just felt funny wearing it although I am not sure why. so after having it in my closet for 8 years and not wearing it I gave to my friend and his dad wears it all the time.
I wear corvette stuff all the time. Haven’t ever bought it for myself, but I also don’t ever buy any clothes unless I absolutely have to.
I think the biggest thing you need to realize is that your WIFE likes the jacket, and you said it’s a nice jacket yourself, so why do you care what other people think?

I tend to think wearing a different logo out of respect or admiration of the era is fine. I love the early C1 logo -- much more appealing than the C5, or even the C3 to me. I could easily see wearing a jacket or shirt with the C1 logo, even though there is no chance I could ever afford a C1. Or even another C3 for that matter.
Wear it with pride. And the fact your wife supports your interests enough to buy you something cool like that is wonderful. I've been driving Vettes as my hobby for 20 years and my wife never would do something like that for me. She doesn't seem to share my appreciation of an American icon.
If YOU like it, and think it looks good, wear it! Your wife obviously thinks it would look good on you. There's the only two people who really matter. Returning it is a bit of an insult to her. I've observed the Ford vs Chevy wars are still an open wound for some of the juvenile among us, but that's their problem. At the vintage races, if I'm wearing a Corvette t shirt, some of the Ford guys won't talk to you. If I'm wearing an original Shelby Cobra t shirt (bought at Shelby's factory) some of the GM guys won't talk to you. Jeeze, I love all racecars, and Corvettes are one of the best. Wear it and be an ambassador of goodwill to all enthusiasts.
I wore it to dinner last Sunday, we ate at Seneca Lodge which has seen the likes of F1 drivers like Hunt, Lauda, Fittipaldi, Stewart plus Cam-Am, Trans-Am drivers so I figured it was a good place to break the ice.
Appreciate all the input. If anyone is ever in the Finger Lakes region of NY let me know.

We were there earlier this year. Stayed a few days at the Pleasant Valley Inn near Hammondsport - spectacular food, great service. Visited the Curtiss Museum when we were there, among other places. Bought some great NY wines locally as well.
