Apparel opinion
All,
My wife gave me a Corvette jacket for my up coming birthday, its black with a small Corvette logo on the front and a LARGE Logo across the back.
Question: What are your opinions of wearing something like that in public?
Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice coat, on the other hand I have no issues wearing a Borla cap that came with my exhaust.

I'd wear it. (Especially if I was going where a lot of Mustang drivers were going).

I have a closet full of stuff my wife bought me that I've never worn. Been married to her for almost 52 years now and she still buys me crap I won't wear because she likes it and loves me.
Don't wear it in public if it makes you feel funny.
Wear it around the house while in your pajamas or briefs if she asks about it..
Don't tell her it sucks.

I been to car shows where I saw people decked out, head to toe, with their car's logo. Maybe good for car shows, but not my cup of tea in the general public. I do wear a cap with American logo with side C5 patches when I am driving the Corvette.

wgaf what people think.....wear it or return it and tell her its not your thing.....pretty sure she would rather you wear it than let it hang in the closet because you don't want to hurt her feelings

Wear it, i had a nice leather jacket with Corvette Heritage on the back I wore all the time. I got a lot of compliments on it. Wear it!! You'll get use to it the more you wear it.

I don't post a lot but in this instance: I asked my wife what she would like "me" to do and she said to be honest and tell her what I thought of it so she would know what my likes and dislikes are for sure. She also said that it would be a shame to have something and not wear it so it would be better to be somewhere else (maybe she is too honest?)

Do whatever the heck you want and don't care about what other people think. I wear corvette shirts, sweatshirts, etc. I have lots of corvette stuff that has been purchased for me.
My Dad has a T-shirt and sweatshirt that match his Z06. He always wears them together and when he takes the sweatshirt off he says "Look-still Z06 after you peel me."
Do what you want, have fun with it. Heck-put on all your corvette stuff and go to a Mustang show.

Wow. what a philosophical discussion. I wear my stuff, like others, usually purchased for me because loved ones don't know what to get me. Believe me, you don't stand out as much as you think you do!! Go to the NYIAS at the Javits Center. There's a vendor there with jackets with every logo patch possible for a variety of brands, and they sell like crazy. A number of my club members have them.

Personally not a fan of jackets with car marque logos on them. Maybe something smaller, like a hat or a t-shirt. I have a ton of hats with firearm-related company logos on them and such, and t-shirts with automotive performance-related stuff on them. No jackets, though. For some reason, they just seem tacky to me. Like Bandit's "Trans Am" jacket he wore. LOL

should have said this in my first post but, whats the difference between wearing a Corvette jacket as opposed to any other jacket with a logo on it? I see people wear sports logo jackets all the the time....whats the difference?

If you like it, wear it. No different than a sports team jacket etc, and who cares what other people think?
but I also agree with another poster - dont overdo it with corvette everything all at the same time.
If you don’t like it, wear it once, which will make your wife happy, then set it aside as a ‘collectable’ you dont want to mess up.
A long time ago, I had a Chrysler Laser, Sold the car some 25 years ago, but I still have and occasionally wear the Laser logo’ed jacket. Ditto the Saturn t-shirt and sweatshirt.
