Default Factory Radio

So I started looking at Double Din radios but I'm also exploring some other options. I know there are some single din radios that provide Bluetooth as well as plugs for USB and SD card. The question is are there any kind of adapters that would be used with the factory radio and get these features. I had an adapter for USB that played through the FM radio and used the lighter plug for power but sound wasn't too good and it lasted about a month and then stopped working. If I decided to stay with double din there are some good options but not sure they would retain the RAP and SVC features of the factory radio. Ideas?

you can retain the RAP features with the right wiring packages.

I have a DD and still have my retained accessory power

You may want to take a look at this Post for a summary of the different ways to upgrade. It seems Option 1 and Option 4 are the ones you're looking for, the latter being the best one. And yes, you can retain RAP using one of the adapters mentioned in the post.

The
Soundgate GMACC Soundgate GMACC
will do that. There were at least 2 other options available, but I believe they've been discontinued: GMRAP and Accessory Valet.

PAC at one time had a stand alone RAP module. I have not been able to find it recently.

There are a couple of circuits that are RAP enabled, example power windows, that have been taped into for the RAP feature. On my coupe I just did away with RAP for the radio. I did a complete replacement of the system.

I have a GMRAP which was available when I redid my stereo a decade ago but yeah I have heard others say that it is no longer available.

I did a budget single-din upgrade because the OEM deck was so old and tired and pathetic.

My upgrade was under $200 all in. Easily reversible to stock. 1000% better sound.

Alpine digital receiver UTE-73BT with BT, USB, Android, iPhone, iPod, Pandora, MP3, Aux, etc.
Metra dash kit
Axxess XSVI-2004 interface (RAP and Bose interface)
JBL 5.25" speakers in rear.
Crutchfield readyharness

Installed in 60min total. I can finally hear music over my Borla straight pipes. FM reception is better. Hands-free calling is crystal clear. Pandora is nice. Bose speakers sound surprisingly good.
