Default Staggered wheels/tires

Can someone explain the reason for staggering. 17F 18R. If it came to pass, would it be ok to run all 17’s or 18’s and what would be the downside of doing so. Have read on this forum that getting certain OEM staggered sizes seems to be getting harder to locate. Thanks for any information you can provide, fin

gentlemen, please do not take up your time responding to the above. Looked the question up myself and found what I needed to know, many thanks, fin

I bought new wheels in the last two weeks, from the Florida Speed Shop. POC is Keith. The fronts are 17x9.5 and rears are 18x10.5. They are mated to a set of NITTO 555's on all four. It looks awesome. Love this staggered set up. The wheels, are a reproduction of the 2009 ZR1 wheel. My car is red, so I went with this wheel, with a red painted trim around the outer diameter of the wheel. The picture below, is the wheel w/o the red trim. I also lowered the car as far as it would on stock bolts - front and rear. So far, I am very pleased with the look.
