My 1998 Pace Car is in need of new sun visors... the old ones are totally falling apart. I see on Ecklers web site that there are two styles, one for 97-99 and another from 2000-2004. Other sites just list C5 97-2000. What's the difference between the older and newer visors (if any). I saw someone trying to find the 'flappy end' visors in a thread here on CF and I wonder if they went from the flappy style like I have, which fall apart, to a solid style?
I don't know if there are 2 versions, but take a look at this Post for a recommendation that's reported to fit like OEM. Read the Thread, apparently some other replacements have problems with a mismatched inner bezel.

Thanks for the info. That added another layer of complication up front but hopefully less issues in the long run
I finally figured this all out... The early version and the late version are exactly the same with the exception of the airbag stickers. Basically 1997-1999 didn't have all the airbag warnings plastered all over them and the later ones did.
I'd surmise the reason for the differences was because later in the C5's life the passenger side air bag deactivation switch was introduced. Earlier C5s did not have the ability to deactivate the passenger air bag, so with it's introduction later in the model run the warnings to the occupants had to be updated in regards to the air bag.
It'd be something that you would not be really thinking about as a buyer, like the last kind of thing you would look for or notice would be stickers on visors but something none the less you may notice variances on depending on which year C5 you're looking at.
