Default unglued convertible window

So my 03 convertible window in the back is coming unglued. It is now 1/2 way off. What hints (including preferred glue) do you guys have to make this a fairly painless and satisfying fix?
Thanks in advance!
Gary

Here is what I did.

Bought Rhino Ultra Glue and “Universal Vacuum Clamps” (six in a box) on the Internet.

Unlatched the top to loosen the fabric. Supported the top with a piece of PVC piping. Stuffed pillows against the window from the inside.

Removed the old glue stuff from the glass using a glass scraper. Cleaned the fabric and glass with rubbing alcohol and glue remover. Masked the outside fabric as a protection against any glue run off. Glued glass top first using all 6 clamps. Clamps stayed on for 12 hours for each application.

The two sides were done next.

Last was the glass bottom.

15 months and still holding

I used the same method with Rhino Glue over two years ago and it is still holding firm.

I used Gorilla glue and Permatex Black silicone, holding solid as a rock. It is not a concours deal but it will stand up to the elements.

I would post pics but pic upload function does not work for me.I did not have all the fancy repair stuff but my top is original from "99 and a bit worn anyway, it's a good and strong fix. And honestly, not noticeable at all unless you look for it.

I tried one more time to add a photo,,but no luck

Default Phil Swift told me to get Flex Glue & I dd

Flex glue was too easy, it did not need any braces or tape to hold it, the stuff grabbed hold and was instant bond like in the commercials. Fast and all I did was clean up the perimeter of the glass with fingernail polish remover then laid down a nice thick bead all around the glass and with a little pressure pushed the glass onto the top window opening which like I said was an instant bond. Waterproof too . Less than 20 mins. I bought the tube at Walmart for 12 bucks.

Ok, I'm done. Time will tell whether my process was successful. I took several of the best tactics listed here and went for it: cleaned glass, pillows to hold glass in place, Goop automotive glue, masking tape and let it sit for 2 days. Looks good. Thanks to all for the input.

There seems to be many different adhesives that will work, my clear Gorilla glue was a newer product, waterproof and flexible. This is good stuff as it ran down deep into the separating window/canvas bottom seam..But the clear seam did look too shiny and a bit out of place once dried.

So I decided to finish the seam off with a thin bead of the black silicone. this rendered the clear glue seam virtually invisible (unless you really look for It.)

So far I'm 6 mos in.. lots of weather, wind, dust and rain.. and still tight as a drum.
