Annie and I purchased an '04 Millenium Yellow coupe in 10/13 with 11,700 on the clock. Car has 26,000 now, only money needed to spend on car besides maintenance was to drop tank and replace fuel pump assembly. All other dollars were wants and personal upgrades. Car is a stick, Annie cannot drive a stick any longer. Local Craig's list has a 2000 Millenium Yellow vert with an auto. 110,000 on the clock but with nine years of service records and many enhancements. Just a little apprehensive about a prior 2001 vintage car. Will be keeping the '04 coupe.

Based on the upgrades (sound system, performance, gear) I'm guessing someone younger has owned the car. I would be concerned with how hard it's been driven. You don't get 400 hp from a cold air intake and exhaust so the engine has been opened up - likely a cam - maybe heads too for that hp. The higher gear also suggests a cam. Maybe a stall too? Not sure what you're looking for but I don't think this will drive like a stock car.

 

That or the claimed hp is BS. I agree though that its a risk that the car has been beaten on a bit.

 

 

If the dyno numbers are right, I agree that it didn't come with just those mods. Has to be something else done to the car.

 

sounds like a reasonable price. if you do decide to purchase it, please post some pictures as I am curious how all the audio stuff is placed, as I also have a convertible, and am wondering how to replace the rear speakers and where to mount any sub and or amps..

 

I'd pick that up in a heartbeat for $11,500 which he'll probably take.
