First time poster here and need some opinions. I am looking to purchase a low mileage 2003 anniversary coupe with the 1SC 50th anniversary package. All options are present and everything on the car is original and correct. The car has 28,000 miles. The RPO sticker on the inside of the glovebox door shows the 1SC code and matching VIN number. There is only one thing bothering me. It does not have any 50th anniversary fender emblems. Has anyone ever heard or seen these cars without them? All of my research seems to indicate that ALL 2003's with the 1SC package had special fender badging. I have, however, found a few pictures where there are not any. For example, look at the well-known picture below. Neither car has fender badging. Any opinions on this? I have no question that the car I am looking at is real but I am stumped. I even thought that maybe the car was wrecked and the emblems were never reapplied but there is no evidence of the car being wrecked and the Carfax is completely clean.
Actually, the pics do show the fender badges in place. They are just hard to see because of the reflections of light in that area.Maybe the previous owner didn't like the fender badges and removed them? I think the badges were held in place with adhesive so removing them could have been pretty easy to do.

The special fender badging is part of the 1SC package and it is one of the features exclusive to it. The 2 cars in the picture do have the fender badges. They're a little difficult to see because they fall along the horizontal reflected light. If you zoom-in a little, you'll be able to see them.
Probably what happened is that a previous owner removed them.
Edit: post above just beat me to it while I was typing

You are right. My eyes must be failing, ha ha. Maybe you are right about the previous owner removing them. Maybe one fell off and rather than putting it back on it was just easier to remove the other one.
It is POSSIBLE that, as others have stated, the PO removed them because he didn't like them. However, I would look VERY closely to make sure the car has not been repainted. Get a knowledgeable body guy to look at it for you if you don't have the background for it. Clean Carfax only means nothing was ever reported. You don't want an unhappy surprise AFTER you buy the car. Good luck...
Another idea, if you want the fender badging you can take a good quality photo of one and take it to a graphic shop and have a decal made and put on fender or mount the decal on clear plexi the shape of the decal and mount to fender giving it a raised look. Have done it several times over the years on boat graphics where I could not get the orig badging.
