Final farewell
Been on here since 2009, what a great, informative community! Me and my wife had our first child back in August and it was time for me to move on from my 02 c5 zo6. Owned the car 9 years, had a ton of fun and was a reliable beast. Loved the car so much it kinda pained me to sell. But I’m pretty happy with the replacement. Just wanted to say thanks to the whole corvette community. I learned so much on here and enjoyed contributing where I could.
my 02 Zo6
the replacement. 2014 z/28 . Bone stock 5,300 miles.
Baby seat fits dam good with wife up front lol. Car is amazing, far exceeding my expectations. After power train warr is up I will fix the heads and prob do headers.

Reviving a old thread. So I’m back in a c5z. Had fun in the Camaro but sold it march of 2022. Found a 02 EB c5z local to me. 73k miles, one owner, bone stock. Identical spec to my old c5z. Smoking deal couldn’t say no. I Changed all fluids, and did new gm ls6 valve springs.

OP- congrats on the new ride. There will be another Vette waiting for you when the kids are all grown up.

Nice, better color! If you gotta fit kids in then you did well. Congrats on that BTW, best thing in life.
I happened to buy my Z06 just months after my second daughter was born. Daily drive my Z, wife has a Rogue and us a minivan for kid hauling.

And you had the best Corvette color
But, the Z28 is a heck of a car! Wasn't it like $75K new?
Absolutely LOVE the rims on the Z28

Congrats on the Z28. Looks badazz!
Too bad you had to let go of your Z06.

Great choice. I’ve been thinking about this lately as well. Never thought I would but the z/28 / zl1 cars are just awesome. Just curious, did you consider a zl1 as well?

Very nice alternative to the C5. Hope it gives you as much pleasure as the Vette did.

The Z28 is an awesome car. I saw one in the showroom when they first came out and fell in love with it. Congrats on that and the family numbers going up.

there really is no comparison to my c5z to this z/28. they are worlds apart. after logging some miles in the z28, then driving the c5z, the vette feels dated and soft, lots of body motions I never really noticed before. the z28 is very stiff but amazingly dampened. the steering feel, how the car reacts is incredible its far exceeding my expectations. I still love c5's and will prob be back in one as a designated track car sometime in the future.

When you get tired of the Camaro, there is always another Corvette down the road! Good luck
