What kind of work do you need done? If you need a tuner or want mods installed, LSXperts up in Ball Ground is my pick. They did great work on my C5Z. I had a built LS3 and clutch put in the car and the results were awesome. That's a long drive for you but worth it. Great customer service, honest and straightforward.
If you just need basic work done (tune up, air conditioning, that sort of thing) then I'd find a Pep Boys near you. They're honest, super low cost and they do good work. I take all my cars there if I don't feel like wrenching myself. I think there's one in Conyers, or there was 20 years ago when I worked in that area.
Roswell Auto Care is another good pick, but that's up 400 in Roswell. They can do pretty much anything and they're really good about explaining the work, quoting it accurately, and doing exactly what they say they will.

Thank you both for your responses! I have developed an oil leak, so just looking for a compentant Vette mechanic local. Have talked to a couple of local shops, and no one wants to work on my LS1.

Change the PCV hose system. It’s an assembly costs around $120 and it’s common to get stuffy and cause oil pan and rear main leaks. If you fix the leak but don’t change the pvc the issue will come back.
