This is my second C5 and I am getting back into things. I would like to correct the deforming of the rear bumper. Last vette I bought the inserts that go near the bottom. is that the best fix still? and where do I buy them?
You can buy reinforcements but they're like $100 I believe. A few vendors sell them (Google "C5 rear fascia reinforcement")
A cheaper alternative; I'd get a thick wire coat hanger, snip it into strips, and epoxy it to the backside of the fascia so it contours back into a flat shape. You probably have hangers lying around and a good epoxy is about the cost of a beer. The fascia is made out of RIMM and is designed by nature to have a little flex so something hard epoxied against it will eventually mold it back (and a snipped wire hanger is so small you could just leave it).

Interesting way to make the fix. Thanks for sharing.
