Was curious if anyone here keeps theirs Corvettes outside in this polar vortex and did your car start? I'm in sunny southern California, but curious how you people are coping with this.

I have a battery tender on mine. It's supposed to be in the 50s on Sunday and Monday, so I'll fire it up then. Of course there is 2 inches of salt on every road, so no chance of getting out for a drive.

I'm here in southern MI where it hit -20F on the thermometer the other day. Corvette is in the garage but the other vehicles are outside.

I remote started my Escape and even though it cranked over a bit slowly, it did fire right up.

The temps were brutal. I love MI but damn......
Dogs even resorted to elimination on the porch.

Mid Atlantic area. Been snowing lightly since around 8. Cars in garage, '97 Chev K1500 lives outside. Started no problem early this a.m. Not so cold this morning though, only about 12° - it was 2° a couple of days back.

Southeast Michigan. In a heated barn. January 15th was 45 and sunny. Waxed my truck. Monday the 4th, is supposed to be 40 again. I guess that I'll wash all the salt off of it. This cold freeze happens every so often. In 1984 at this time it went down to -24 below. Good thing is that it will end. I could never live any farther north than I do. Tomorrow, Feb. 2, Our corvette club is having its first dinner of 2019 at Aubreys Restaurant in Dexter Michigan. We have 45 people signed up. It should be a great time. Spring is on the way.

Yup. Same thing here. January was mostly bad for driving, and February is not looking good so far, either.

Just went threw it her in Chicago, crazy cold and snow, all my cars started, didn't try the vet. Good batteries I guess. Put the tender on the vet every other week, keeps the battery good. 40* Sunday, might take the vet out.

My thermometer showed 35 below at my house Wednesday morning. My GMC truck and my wife's car stay outside and did not start. The 5 year old battery in my truck was totally dead. Last fall I pulled the battery out of my Corvette and put in the basement on a tender. Since the battery in the truck and Corvette are the same model, I put the Corvette battery in the truck and it fired right up. I will leave it in and get a fresh battery for the Corvette in the spring...... 38 tomorrow and 45 on Sunday.

As far north in WIsconsin as you can get. Vette is in garage. Won't even try to start it until sometime in April. Kept pickup tank heater plugged in during the -25-30 cold so it started right up. However, the hot water to the kitchen froze up night before last and still hasn't thawed out. Why the hell do I stick around here?

Mine's parked outside... was starting okay until I left it for the last week.

Temps going to be in the upper 40s maybe low 50s tomorrow.

I'll get her started and take her out for a cruise.
