Driver side seat cushion replacement.

Driver side seat cushion replacement.
Hi, I'm a new owner of my first corvette (2003 C5) and am new here and this is my 1st question.
My driver side seat cushion needs replaced worn out from in and out of the car.
What's the best way to fix this problem?
I'm wanting new seat covers also and any c5 seat covers will work.
What should I be looking for? Thanks, Jeff

For the bottom cushion you have two options, and a bit of searching here and on the all-knowing google will show you both methods. First, you can replace the entire bottom foam, available from several sources as either just the one piece or as part of a replacement set. Obviously a good way to go, with pretty much original equipment feel. Another option is a repair kit, with pieces of foam to add to your original foam to fill in the outboard edge. Frankly, not a lot cheaper than a new seat bottom from pricing I've seen. The bottom foam sits on a rack of thin wires that eventually slice the foam like a loaf of bread. If you try the repair kit option, you'll need to remove the cushion to glue the slices back together. Regardless, with the foam out of the seat, you'll want to put a piece of jute over the wires to keep them from cutting through the foam again.
I found Wilcox had Corvette America foam at a discount from Corvette America pricing.

I used Corvette America seat bottoms and glued ballistic nylon from JoAnn’s Fabric on the spring side.
