Default 2002 Z06 RPO Code FE4

Hi guys, I'm thinking that I may need new shocks for my 2002 Z06. The RPO build code says it has FE4 - Suspension System: Special Ride and Handling. What does this means with regard to what type of new shocks I should install? OEM? Aftermarket?

I'm not a performance driver and would prefer a softer ride for longer trips.

Greatly appreciate your thoughts!

FE4 is simply the internal code for the stock Z06 suspension.

This thread here talks a bit about it.

I would go with the C6 Z06 shocks, but there are others out there that could also be considered like Bilsteins.

Thanks Vetteman! I see that Cultrag has an upgrade kit for 1997-2013 model years. What in your mind would be the main reason to go with those rather than the Bilstein B6 shocks?
