Tires are like oil, if someone has had good experience with a brand, they usually stick with the same.
I loved Firestone Firehawks on my C4, so I have a positive view of them trying another set.
Big issue with a Coupe is noise. I just read some good reviews on the Hankook Ventus V12 EVOs Jack posted.
You got that right. I had a great experience with Bridgestone Potenzas. Quiet, great wear, ride and handling and they were inexpensive. They have over 25K miles on them now and are over 6 years old, so it is time for new tires. Might go with the Indy 500s if there is a big price difference because I may not be keeping the car for too much longer.
Just installed the Firehawk Indy 500s last weekend and love them. Got rid of 10 year old Pilot sports. Total price was $652 after the mail in rebate, which seemed surprisingly cheap to me. I always figured tires were going to be one of the most expensive parts of owning a corvette due to the wide rears and staggered setup.
You fared much better than me as $652 is an awesome price. I just spent $1400(with all bells and whistles, warranty etc..) on a set of NITTO 555G2's for the front and NITTO 555R's for the rears.
Me Too ! Came from Toyo Proxes ( same sizes as now ) and just as pleased if not more . But wished that treadwear rating on those rears were the same as fronts !

Dang, what size tires are on your car? The 255/35/18 and 305/30/20 555 G2's on my 70 El Camino restomod were around $725/set at my local Discount Tire, early last year.
