maybe......but I haven't tried,I always just pulled the wheel and open up the wheel housing, besides gave me excuse to clean the wheels and everything else real good
Quik question if you raise your car above your head on a lift can you get to the udders from underneath the car??
I cleaned mine last year after searching and finding advice here - didn't save any links but there is a lot of info out there. I did everything from top side as I remember. It was not that bad.

I think it would be too much obstruction to get to from underneath for the drivers side and the passenger side you still need to take the wheel off to get to the access panel but can be done on a lift.

As I remembered it, it appeared it would be quite difficult from underneath as opposed to up top, but was hoping someone else would confirm.

Driver's side is easy from the top.esp with smaller hands. Driver side requires removing the battery and then they aren't too bad to reach either.
The 3 on the drivers side can be reached from the top without removing anything. The single one on the passenger side is a little harder as the battery has to come out.
You would have to have some Long arms to reach the drivers side udders from underneath the car. I just slid my arm under the panel, grabbed an udder and twisted it off in no time. Did the other two that way too. One way in the back was a little more difficult to reach but doable for sure unless you have 20” circumference forearms! The passenger side is simply pull the battery, reach in and twist it out. Took me longer to snake it back into position than remove it on the passenger side.
Yes, go from the top. I agree with SLOWRYDE and others. It's easy. I had a bit of difficulty trying to fit the bottom of the passenger side udder back down in the bottom.
You didn't know that if you feed a C5 a certain octane of fuel they produce milk to feed their young?
Seriously, they are the rubber drain pieces under the front wiper cowl that allow water to drain. They can get clogged with leaves and other debris which can allow water to stand in that area and cause problems such as damaging the windshield wiper motor.

After following the many recommendations that accompany this thread, after an initial cleaning, I would recommend that you lightly flood your wiper bay when washing your C5. This should keep the udders clean for the future.
