Default Shift **** Adapter Help

Just bought a new shift **** that has the following adapters/size with it:
M8 x 1.25, M10 x 1.5, M12 x 1.25

I have a Hurst short shifter which runs the 3/8-16 thread size.

Problem is, those numbers mean nothing to me

Can anyone point me in the direction of an adapter that'll fit between these sizes, or possible Home Depot/Lowes will have them (probably not very sightly, but I'll just paint it)

Thanks in advance!

I'd contact the **** company, ask them if they have the proper adapter. Really doubt you'll find it at a hardware store.

Those are typical import car shifter thread specifications. As was said above, go back to the supplier to try to get an adaptor. Not a hardware store item - too specialized.

M10 x 1.5 means a 10 mm diameter thread, with a pitch (thread to thread) of 1.5mm.

3/8-16 means a 3/8 diameter thread and 16 threads/inch or 1/16" thread to thread

Google will find inch/mm conversions for you - easier than digging out the calculator!

Decided I'm just going to return it because the company doesn't make adapters for American sizes and I don't wanna deal with drilling out one of the included adapters and stuffing the right thread down there. Anyone have any recommendations for a straight black handle racing shifter that'll fit the 3/8-16 on a Hurst?

Have you checked with Hurst to see if they offer a **** in the style you want? Maybe other companies that make aftermarket shift ***** will have them in the thread size/pitch that will fit.

I use the traditional Hurst ball handle and I really like it as I can grip it with my entire hand. There's even enough area that for upshifts to 3rd and 5th, I can just push it with the palm of my hand.

I bought a pistol grip shift handle that was made for import, but had a buddy with a machine shop drill and tap it for my Hinson shifter. I couldn't be happier with it. It's getting powdercoated now.

Hurst does not, unfortunately! I'm probably going to give the ball to my friend

Hmmm. Might actually go that route!
