In looking at you address (NY) your best bet is to visit Cartek in NJ. They are making about the highest numbers currently in a Z06. (450RWHP) witha 3.90 gear. Using the stock 3.42s the car might dyno as much as 463...

Also, you numbers are about right. My buddy has a 2001. His with a TRIC Ti made 332. Your look to be just a smidge low for the mods already on the car. But, within reason.

Thanks J-Rod,

I had my last car at Cartek and had nothing but problems(both with getting it to run right and also with promises after promises of getting it back)everyday it was another story. Is there anywhere else in the area besides Cartek to go to ?

I have an 01 Z06 with a vortex air intake and a Corsa Pace car exhaust. I have dynoed it twice at MTI in Houston with results between 357 and 361 RWHP.

If you do not have an aftermarket air intake on the car your 340 is about right.

There are numerous tuners out there offering H&C packages. I would look for one with a successful history of Tuning and Service after the installation.

59ltd - Where on Long Island are you? If you're interested, you could meet at the OBI parking lot off the Ocean Parkway in Jones Beach (east end) on Sundays around 9AM. I know someone there who has an '02 that just had the Cartek heads and cam package installed about a month ago. I think it dyno'd at about 435 rwhp after the package install including headers and a Vararam. If the weather is good, I will be there so I can introduce you to the owner. Not sure if you've been there before, but its an impressive showing of powerful cars, including a Lingenfelter twin turbo Z06 with the 427 C5R motor

The Vette Doctors in Amityville does heads and cam work too. They have similar packages as Cartek. Not sure about their service as I've only used them for a dyno run. I've heard mixed stories, like Cartek - some are happy, some are not. There are quite a few vettedoctor cars that show up at the OBI, including the owners from time to time.

That's about it locally that I can think of. Corvettes Unlimited in West Babylon could do it, but they seem to specialize more in restorations of older Corvettes. However, they did tell me they work on new Corvettes too including engine work.

Understood...

As stated there are numerous tuners on this site and others such as LS!tech.com which can assit you. I live in Houston which menas I can go to MTI,HoS, SAM, SDM, or others all of which are located in Houston.

It depends on how far you want to go, or if you want to ship your car, etc...

You could buy a kit and do it yourself, or have a competent mechanic install it. But if you get a decent sized cam, you wil need computer tuning. Are you a DIY'er or do you prefer to just have someone do it for you.

Just for cost purposes a H/C package with headers installed at MTI is about 7K. Shipping a car depends on mileage....

Depending on how agressive a package you want to get you can get about another 100 rwhp from the head and cam package.

Best head and cam package, I don't have the whole package so it is hard to say but I had the Vette Doctors put in a camshaft and do custom tuning with headers in my 99 A4 and have dyno at 385 rwhp. My cam is, on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being most agressive, a 4.

Whoever you go with be sure and mention your intent on hitting it with a 150 shot as this may change the direction they go with your setup.

Depending on how close you are to Amityville, might be worth a trip to discuss you plans.

As for Vette Doctors service, I am very happy with it. They call me up from time to time to make sure I am happy.

There was video running around of an MTI H/C car running around with a 125 or 150 shot. It spun badly and ran a 10.38.
