Adding HUD

I am looking to buy a Z06. I am looking at several cars at this stage. I see that 2001 dio not have HUD. Is it possible to add and what are all the parts needed. Thanks

HUD is just another thing to go wrong and adding it to a car without it would be a big mistake in my opinion. Buy the best car for the money. You don't need HUD to enjoy it.

I added it to my 01 Z06, everything is plug and play except for cutting your dashboard and HUD bezel installation.

Maxx Z06. Very impressive (and responsive to the OP's question)! My car came with the HUD and I really enjoy it. Just curious, how long did it take you to get that job done?

I can't recall an exact time frame since it was a few years ago but I do remember taking an evening 2-3 hours or so to take the dash out, install the projector, and run the harness to the new controls on the cluster. Called it a night and waited for morning daylight to make the cut on the dash and install the bezel. Re-assembled the dash and done. Total time if i had to estimate i'd say 4-5 hours.

The HUD is one thing I list as a must have on my Vette. Some people don’t feel the need for them, but I use mine all the time. You can probably get all the parts from one of the forum parts vendors and I think the cost was in the $300-400 range, but that could be off a bit.
