Last week I was driving on the interstate late and herd a loud bang. It
felt I had run over a metal pipe. I pulled over and checked for damage and then decided to head for home. I noticed a little vibration and slight pull to the right in the steering wheel but the car was drivable. The next morning I checked for damage and all I could find was the front tire was down to 10 psi . So I took the car to a tire dealer. When they could not find a leak they pulled the tire off the wheel and noticed the rim was bent.
Does anyone know if the wheel on a 2001 Z06 can be repaired or do I need to purchase a replacement wheel from my local Chevy dealer for the $1,104.35 price he quoted me?
You should be able to get it fixed for much less than that. I had a ZR1 rim fixed for $150, so unless there is something really different for the Z06, it should be in the same ball park.

OUCH!!! :mad :mad :mad I was upset because I had to shell out $400 for a new front tire when I got a nasty flat last week... Doesn't seem bad at all now!
Sorry about the damage. I was actually lucky mine didn't bend. Please let us know how you make it out. I hope you can find something better than $1,100!
