I am looking at a 01 z06 for sale. Car fax shows that for the first 3 years , it was owned by ‘manufactor’. It is missing the engine covers, other than that it seems mostly stock, could this car have been a mfg test mule, / magazine review car?

Could have been a GM executive car - driven by one of the big wigs for a while then put up for sale.
