Default Vette-less no more!

Vette-less no more! Just brought home an 04 Z06 w/36k miles, full exhaust, Vararam intake, Hurst shifter and Danny P tuned. Very well maintained and in very good condition.

That's correct. Mr Popp tuned it..

I'm a perfectionist and the only three things I've found so far are:
1. The odd shift **** that was on the Hurst shifter. (I reinstalled the Hurst black ball)
2. The boot doesn't pop up enough to get a finger under it. (ordered some struts and will clean / dielectric grease the seal it this weekend)
3. The exhaust tips are not even in height or depth.

Otherwise... just needs a good bath and seats leather treated.
The PO had all the fluids changed at the same time as the tune. They also fixed an oil pan leak and installed new spark plugs. (its amazing / scary what dealerships charge!... I always do my own work)

Also I must say that I like the exhaust a lot. It has melrose LT, high flow cats, and a Corsa aftercat. I'm amazed that it's not loud until.. full throttle and over 4k rpms. At 70 in 6th it's barely audible. And I mean you have to turn off the radio and turn down the fan speed to hear it. I've never in all my years had an exhaust that both sounded great and was quiet on the freeway.

I'm a little undecided on the euro style tailights. How desirable are they? Any benefits other than appearance?

I've had 40+ cars in my life. I genuinely hope to keep this for many yrs to come.

Regards, Rich

Congratulations on the car. Not sure what Euro taillights are but I would flush those if possible. One of the first and easiest mods I’ve done. Looks better and collects less road dust.

A set of modded halos would look much nicer than the euros. Congrats on a beautiful find. Where in Ohio? Native Buckeye lost in Las Vegas!

Smoked, perhaps? Black on silver is an awesome combo.

If you want to change the Euros back to stock there’s a wire during the instal that’s cut under the dash by the brake pedal that’s difficult to access that you’ll need to splice/butt connect back together. Find the instal instructions online and read it, that will show the wire to mend.

I had the euros for a while over a decade ago but put them back to stock, nothing wrong with them, I just like solid oval/circle light profiles on a c5 at night.

Thank all.

I've noticed the lights when in normal mode are a bit small. I'll live with them for a while and see how I like them.
Shift **** and trunk pop is fixed. Now I need to get the car up and see what I can do to get the exhaust aligned.
