Default Head Gaskets

Hello Forum... I'm not sure if this would be a Tech question or not... Does anyone have standard labor hours it should take to R&R head Gaskets on a 2001 stock C5? see video and let me know if I'm correct on Head Gaskets

Probably 700-800 if nothing else surfaces along the way. You may want to consider doing some updates being that far in, given the age of things.

Changing the rocker arms over to a trunnion kit, have the water pump checked out are the biggest things. You didn't state the mileage, but regardless, the age of the C5 makes it worthy of scrutinizing whenever it is going "under the knife" for something non-routine.

Oh and the harmonic balancer! The rubber dries out and they inevitably fail. If it hasn't been replaced with a quality aftermarket unit, do NOT use a GM/AC Delco part.

Good day Corvette Forum... If anyone is following and is interested. The bubbling in the reservoir was not a blown head gasket... All tests showed there was not combustion gasses in the antifreeze... There were pressure checks performed and there are no cracked heads nor the block. The issue was an apparent air pocket somewhere in the cooling system. The mechanic bled the system and topped off the antifreeze... NO MORE BUBBLING... All is good...
