I am missing the black hex head screw that attaches the underneath of the front bumper through the drivers side front air dam. Does anyone know the size of the screw so that I can pick one up at a hardware store?
I was asking the size of the hex head screw not where to purchase it from. There is one on the other side but don’t want to have crawl under the car to remove it and have to reinstall it again. I thought someone would know the size. If not, I will go to my local Chevy dealer. They can look it up in the GM system. If they have it in stock I will buy from them. Can’t be more than a dollar.
I went to Cultrag Performance and checked their parts list. It looks like it is GM part no. 11516569 center support bolt. The description says it is 6x30 mm. One right hand and one left hand required.
I went to my local Chevy dealer this afternoon. The GM part number I referenced previously is the correct bolt I am looking for. The dealer did not have them in stock and would have to order a package of 25. Also the j-nut (also called u-nut) was no longer available through GM. I would I have to buy all 25 of the bolts. The parts person said I should just go to the local hardware store, which I did. The bolt was $0.29 and the u-nut was $0.59.
These bolts are 6mm shank size, 1mm thread pitch and the bolt head is 10 mm. Length about 1" or 25mm. I bought a number of bolts and nuts at the local hardware store.
