I own a 00 FRC and I don't know the actual mileage on it. The previous owner replaced the gauge cluster, so I only have a round about idea of the mileage. Is there anyway to read the actual mileage of the car? Thanks!
How in the heck did he sell it without knowing the exact mileage? Is it a salvage vehicle? I would think you would have asked the seller as I would NEVER purchase a car without knowing the mileage.
The mileage is stored in the cluster itself. Ten year old cars are exempt to mileage reporting on sale here in Illinois. When I purchased my 2001 it was marked as exempt on the title as well when I received it in the mail from the DMV.

He knew the mileage when he changed the cluster, but couldn’t remember how many he’d put on since. 10 year old cars are exempt here in TX too so I guess I, SOL.
