I think black wheels will look good on a silver car.

Do you have any close up pics of those wheels? I'm having the back side of my chrome wheels painted black and would like to see some others...

I was watching one of Rick Conti's vblogs of a Corvette parade on a board walk.
Black wheels could not be seen and the chrome, mag, alum. wheels looked like they were going backwards or turning slower than the cars were moving. Point being black wheels don't show up on a moving car in a video.
Like some have said, "To each his own and beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

As a designer, this is how I look at this.. Wheels while functional, they are part of the aesthetic scheme of the car. Chrome or highly polished wheels tend to be more show car looking. while black wheels represent more of a race car look, more go fast look. Both styles are indeed interchangeable. But each tends to be more one sided. My C5 with Polished CCWs was ( IS ) a very pretty car. Athletically pleasing inside and out . its very appealing to the eye. My C7 with no chrome and black or carbon flash everything, is much more ( Dark ) dark in its theme.. . Ive never really liked black wheels because I thought it was a lost opportunity to make a car pretty. Ive owned this : " Pretty car " C5 for 20 years...It was time for a change.. I did not want more of the same with my C7. I did not want my C7 to look like my C5. I think the polished CCW's on my C5 adds more positive vibrations, aesthetically then the back wheels adds to the dark look of my C7.
What I am saying is how you view your car aesthetically helps to choose a significant part of its look.

Bill

Black wheels will eventually go the way of neon wiper blades, and not a moment too soon for me. They remind me of space-saver spare tires.

I Like Chrome.................................. ...............I like Black.

If I had more storage area, I would have a set of each and change em up when I needed to spice things up a bit.

Gloss Black C7 Z06 wheels installed Tuesday. Pics don’t do justice. They look much better in person. I really like the way they look with the silver and black convertible top.
