Default Seat covers

Does anyone know of a good brand of leather or vinyl seat cover which fit over the factory seats to protect the factory leather from the hot Florida sun? Been looking but everything looks like replacement for the factory leather for a total seat replacement.

I am surprised you want to protect the stock seat skins. I had to replace mine at 20k miles as they looked so worn out and flattened that they were a serious detraction to the car not to mention the lack of support. If I could suggest you save the money for new skins and foam for the future as the life of your seats just have to be expired. (would like to see a pic of your seats that you want to protect) The cost to replace is very reasonable. I would go with PVC instead of leather as current PVC product is fantastic. Sorry I was little help in your quest, lol.

For some ideas, take a look at that "crap" national auction site (flea bay) They have every product you could think of.

Are the slip on covers or a total replacement? They look fantastic. Leather or something more durable?

Not slip ons, and they are full leather replacement. Thanks for the compliment.

I agree - Ridies makes some nice looking, affordable seat covers. You can also try Mid-America and Ecklers for replacement covers.

Bill, on my Z06, I didn’t want to spend the money or do the work to replace the leather. If you are in hot weather, no leather is going to feel good.
I found https://www.wetokole.com/. Covers to be terrific. Very customizable and fairly inexpensive. They are made for your seats so the fit is very good, they don’t move or wrinkle.

Dude you are completely making that up. Ridies will print anything on their covers and GM doesn’t give two *****. You think GM is monitoring some small aftermarket company who sells c5 covers? Nah bruh.

also, do a search of your posts, you’re the one that constantly recommends Ridies on this forum!!!!

Well I’m sorry to contradict you but YOU are wrong. Ridies did lose their GM contract and GM will enforce it. I don’t know where you get your information. In addition, Ridies for the last almost 6 months has been absent from this forum, and <I> am also one who’s promoted them partly because of their ‘relationship’ with Interior Innovations where I got my seat covers and foam. I wrote to them on this site numerous times, did the same with their Facebook site and written to them directly and no response. They treated a number of people on this forum very poorly and I was not happy with someone who I and others like E/T vouched for and they left people hanging. Since the rumored ‘merger’ with Interior Innovations seems to be nothing more than a rumor, I will promote Interior Innovations and discourage business with Ridies.

GM will pull licensing without warning, the supplier of my club’s shirts and outerwear had it happen a year ago.

In addition an embroidery/uniform chain I deal with will not do any official GM logos for the same reasons.

As ET has repeatedly said on this forum, Ridies leather is the best of aftermarket covers. Will they stitch a c5 logo on the covers? Yes. Will gm sue them for using the logo without a license (assuming that one is even needed) no. Can you buy Ridies covers with a c5 logo and not get sued by gm? Yes. Stay woke people.

Interior Innovations uses the same leather. I know because I have it.

How you know that GM will not sue them is truly a mystery. Nothing like thinking an opinion is fact.

Gm’s gonna sue some company in Pakistan that makes leather for a 20 year old car? Lol. Ok bro. You’re right.

DUDE, BRO... what are you 18 years old... ???? I know the owner here in the US... where copywrite laws are litigated and GM goes in deep to go after them,.. the fact they are made in Pakistan means nothing.. I know for a fact that GM has a team of Lawyers and legal aides that scour the interne t for copywrite infringements.. the fact that Ridies is not using their logos is because they have already been served. Ridies tried to negotiate a contract but GM does not negotiate their rights. Manufacturers either comply or get sued. So do yourself a favor dude, and dont disrespect tenured members here before you get 20 post under your belt..

If these leather items are made in Pakistan, no thanks.

I am young. You must be old. Lol. (That’s short for “laugh out loud.”) I just talked with Ridies on the phone. They’ll stitch anything you want on the seat covers. C5 logo, corvette lettering, etc. (Also, I didn’t know the number of posts equates to experience and/or intelligence.)
