They started out Grey, from the supplier and I had them painted Milennium Yellow by a local painter.
The top rail is custom made, and I designed the paint scheme.
I searched high and wide to find the parts believe you me!

Function with form. The rails nix using a fuel rail cover. The rockers did not like the factory valve covers. So I tossed the coils in the fenders and went for some nice valve covers. With everything apart/gutted and not being a fan of the corrosion and oxidation common to New England I have also painted whatever I could in crinkle black. So things like the water pump, valley plate, accessory bracket, valve covers, throttle body, brake booster, block and oil pan have all been painted. The blower bracket which came on the car was an older design and polished which I sold so I could get the updated one with the easy quick-change belt system and got it in black as well.
So we've taken required changes and come out with some upgrades to appearance as we went. If not, I still would have painted what could be reached either way but I'd have swapped the nice smooth painted fuel rail covers over from my coupe and been done.
The rest remains a work in progress which is coming along now.

That's a new one on me. British car? Aussie?
Where is the battery mounted?
And glad to see another fan of the Breathless Performance Products Vortex Ram Air. I've had that on two C5s now and loved it. Forget those Vararam fans. Lol
