Another high point of the day was finally getting to meet fellow forum member Wayne Workman and his son, and see his beautiful “Vetted C5”. Wayne has a build thread and I’ve seen lots of pics of his car, but it’s way cooler in person!
Later in the day I was at a Billy Boat Exhaust booth talking with different people coming by and the guy in the booth. Later I found out I was actually talking with the one and only Billy Boat himself! Super nice guy!
I was told by a local guy last night at Hickory Motor Speedway, that Billy is moving the business to Mooresville, NC.
About to head to ZMAX for the drag races. It’s raining this morning, but maybe they will get to run later this afternoon. If not, tomorrow is forecasted to be sunny and 80.
Congrats on the win and it looks like a great weekend. So B&B is moving from Arizona to NC? I can understand if that's the case.
Thank you Mark.
I got that info second hand from a guy at the race track, but he was familiar with Billy losing his brother last year and seemed believable.
Well, the races were rained out today, but will run at 10:00AM tomorrow.
After they finally called it, we left and went to Cracker Barrel for dinner and ran into Antron Brown and some of his crew.
Still a great day!
The show was so awesome, over 500 Vettes!
Here’s the one I’m most proud of. I’ll post several more first chance I get.
We are at Hickory Motor Speedway right now for the Saturday night races. The birthplace of NASCAR.
It was great seeing you on Sat! I told you your car would win, it looked amazing. The red just glows, I needed my sunglasses on to look at it! Congratulations!
Thank you Mark.

He has already moved. He gave me his card and told me to stop by if I decide to swap. I remember him telling you to bring your car by if you wanted the tips adjusted.

Thank you Wayne, I’m glad we finally got to meet up and see each other’s cars.

Right, I knew that he now has a shop in Mooresville, but I wasn’t aware the Phoenix location would be closing.
If I’m back in the area again I will certainly stop by there.
I don’t remember ever having a better weekend! A car show, a tour of Rick Hendrick’s car collection, Saturday night short track racing, and an NHRA drag race, topped off with pics with my favorite Pro Stock Motorcycle riders.
