Just scooped up a 92k mile Torch Red Z06 for cheap. Going to document my time with the car here just for reference in the future. Anyone is free to comment with suggestions or ask any questions! Thanks for stopping by!
Can i ask how much you paid? What are your plans for the car? What year is the car? Thanks and good luck with your build.
You sure can! $13,000. Not a screaming deal, but good enough for me. As Mr. Black pointed out, it's indeed a 2001. It's going to be a street/road course hybrid car. It will only see weekend duty, so I've got a lot of research to do for what kind of setup it'll get. It will absolutely get a Cam though, I know that much.

Thank you so much! Right now I'm unsure. Cam, better tires, suspension upgrades, short shifter, and an audio system upgrade to start.

Thank you much! Every change or work on the car will get posted just so I have a timestamp for maintenance and mods!
Swapped out the Billy Boat for a Corsa Sport exhaust. Tips aren't my favorite, but it was for sale locally and I couldn't say no. Don't mind the tinted overlays. I was just seeing how they looked. I opted to leave them as is.
I have that same exhaust system (Corsa Sport) with the old style tips on it. They definitely aren't as sexy as the newer double wall stuff but they are light and better looking than the stock coupe tips.
Sounds like you made a pretty decent buy. Good luck with everything. Cheap & issues tend to go hand in hand, but if the issues aren't to drastic it can be fun also.
Looks great!
I always suggest the 3 S's for a used C5 to greatly improve the vehicle at reasonable cost:
Seats - the stockers have little support, trade them out for Corbeau or another of your choice. If the stockers are in good shape you should be able to get 500-700 for them
Shifter - cheap and effective is to shorten the stock shifter and add Tmod rebuilt lower box. Makes the action much tighter and snappier. Plenty of other options
Shocks - DRM Bilsteins go the distance and are a slamming value. check bushings, alignment etc while you're at it.
good luck & enjoy!
edit: you mentioned audio. Check out my headunit-less Bluetooth only audio build thread if that gets your interest. Simple, clean, light, inexpensive.
Congrats! Good deal for a great project! I am reworking a dirt cheap 1998 base, but it has quite a few issues! Love your car.
Thank you much! I'll have to follow your build as well!

Thank you! It needs some love, but nothing I can't handle!

Thanks for all this advice! I'm very intrigued by the Bluetooth audio since that's all I use. I will definitely check it out.
