Key FOB Problem
My 2004 C5 Key Fobs have all of a sudden stopped working. Coincidentally I let my fairly new battery die due to lack of driving the car ( total knee replacement kept me from driving it ) . My mechanic tells me I need a new RF Transmitter a part that is no longer produced. Can anyone tell me where I might find one of these?

Had battery disconnected for over 3 days. Fob quit working. Manual said press lock and unlock buttons at same times for over 6 seconds and when it is completed horn will honk. t did and fob works fine.I

Thanks for the replies !! My mechanic did the procedure with no luck. He took the RF TRansmitter out and tested it and it failed. The part is no longer produced so hoping someone here on the Forum might be able to help find one

Thanks Pounder I called Contemporary Vette and they had one !! Should see it next week !! Thanks for replying to my thread !! BTW - his price was 1/2 what my mechanic was finding for these
