They told me this when I was asking about them being low.
I wonder how these compare to arh. I'm going to call billy boat tomorrow and ask questions. My car isn't lowered. I wonder how performance is.

Kooks, ARH, B&B, and Stainless Specialties are all top tier exhaust manufacturers. All will produce good performance gains, fit well, and are made of quality materials. None are cheap but you get what you pay for.
Whichever one I could get the best deal on, would most likely be the ones I would purchase.

Ok so I went ahead and purchased the b&b headers. Again, it's for a 97-00 corvette and mine is a 03. I've done nothing but research today about this and all i have to do is remove the air tube if i want to go catless, or i can get the 97-00 air tube and use it. I will contact billy boat about this and will keep you guys posted. Maybe this will help someone else. I could not pass up these headers for $600 brand new never used! However, i do not know if i will go catless or not. Oh and I know you guys are way more experienced than I, but I read if I remove the air tube I will have to tune the code out. Please let me know what yall think. Would you have made this choice? Removal of air tube easy?

You will have to have that tuned out as well or you will get codes.
To properly remove the whole air system, you will need to remove the intake manifold.

I've read it takes about an hour for a newbie like myself to take off the intake. Doesnt look too bad.

In a perfect world, it is a fast job but once you pop that thing off you will want to clean the valley up, perhaps clean the oil out of the intake itself. You will want to carefully inspect the PVC hoses AND extent the vacuum hose off the rear of the intake. While there, you will also want to consider relocating the oil sensor, inspect knock sensors and if all is good with knock sensors, run a bead of silicon around them to keep any water out. (a search will show you this here) I did all this, wasn't bad but took a few hours.

Oh, I forgot the throttle body, would be a good time to clean that up..............

Look into TPS Motorsport headers (NOT TSP). Stainless, 1 7/8", drop right in and tuck up high.

My friend, it sounds like you are over thinking this and looking for answers that no one can give you. You want perfect fit, big gains, perfect sound. In the real world, there are too many variables for your questions and everything is subjective. As long as you’re not buying the eBay knock offs, you’ll be fine. You have a deal for brand new b&b for $700? ****** them up and install them and put a smile on your face as they’re ripping down the road. Otherwise, give me the seller info so I can take them.

Since I got a good deal on this I may make a quick buck if anyone is interested.

Are you located in one of the few TX counties that require emissions inspections?

No sir! The performance shop quoted me $600 for the headers and to batch where the air tube goes or whatever and take the line out. And $350 for a tune and to delete the air code. Is this fair?

I went catless because the seller offered $580 for the b&b headers and $150 for the b&b catless pipes. Only charged me 40 for shipping. So I'm wondering if I could use a 3 inch x pipe. The only reason I ask is because b&b offers a 2.5 x pipe.

you really need to call b&b like I recommended before. You are confused as to many things. Please pick up the phone and have a b&b salesperson explain their system to you. At this point, I feel like you’re trolling this thread as it’s gotten ridiculous.

there is header, mid pipe, x pipe, cat back. Only you can figure out what fits together. No one on this thread has the system in front of them.
