I think a C5 with a C6 style rear end and the line fixed where they join the rear together with the sides with PROPER wide body and bigger wheels would make the car a 10. I am talking FRC Z06 and VERT. You can keep the hatch back. I agree that car the hatch looks to soft and even for my taste a little too geezer.....
I take that back, I like the C6 Z06 in WB so I guess a C5 Hatch with that styling might make it real good, Same thing on C6, you can keep the stock body Hatch car....

While I wouldn't want to do that to my C5, I really have a ton of respect for Chip Foose, and I like most of his designs.
He has been given a very special talent and has given back a lot to many people over the years.
I think the C5 is a very good looking car.
Not only my way of thinking but just about everyone I have talked to likes the way a C5 looks.
I wouldn't change anything about it.
I like it.

I have never met a person that did not like the looks of my C5. Young and old alike, but the youngsters really like it.
The point most are missing is that Chip doesn’t build cars for the masses but select individuals that can afford his talents. I’m sure most of us would love the opportunity to work with him, on our own cars. I would consider that quite an honor, myself.
I would love to work with him, but not on a C5 according to what I saw. If we’re discussing my Scout 2, FJ60 LandCruiser, ‘71 VW Bus or my ‘69 Chevelle, that’s a different story.

You missed the point. Most of us like his work. We just don't agree with him about the C5.

You just don’t agree about that particular C5. If he built one for you, I’m sure it would be different from that car. Different strokes for different folks.

No, I don't agree with his opinion of the C5 design. It would be hard for even Chip Foose to improve on the original. Graphics, scoops and two tones will make it different, just not better.

I know it would, but it would still be a c5, and either an FRC or Targa. I’d let him loose on the interior more than anything.
I sort of like his version of the C5. I'm not sure about two-toning it though. This is why I've never been a fan of rear flares, not an integral part of the original design. I also like the big *** of the car. From the first time I saw one it reminded me of the CanAm Chaparral. I pretty much think it was designed right from the beginning. The pinnacle in Corvette design, better than the C6 or C7. And until I see a C8 in person, I'm not so sure I like the new Vette. Way too busy. A Ferrari 488 has much smoother lines and looks perfect anytime I see one. I like Chip's side vents and I think that would be easy to duplicate. The very first time I ever saw a C5 on the street it wowed me and they still do. Now if I had the money I'd have Caravaggio do my interior. Their work is awesome in this regard.

I wish somebody would make the changes to the C5 and C6 I posted so the cars could be pushed to the level they deserve in looks....
