Changing out the shift ****... I hated the stock one, and decided to swap to a C6 upper shifter + C6 ****. But later I upgraded to a TMOD Customs lower shifter box, and then recently swapped out the whole shifter for a MGW (still with C6 ****).
Cosmetically, I really like the modded halo tail lights.
So your looking at cosmetic changes or performance changes?
Pretty much interior and exterior mods. I may get my car supercharged but it's pricey and my car is really fast right now (cam, headers, cai)
The more that I think about it it's the interior stuff. The interior is pretty plain and the seats definitely need to be replaced. I have the shifter changed and love that. I've got the black wheels and the car is red. I want to stay with that motif. Red and black love it!

Does the MGW make it easier to shift? I haven't installed my Venom mod or changed over to Torque Drive Fluid yet (I'm still cleaning out my garage and assembling my Quick-Jack) but I'm interested.

Wow... so, I have anti-venom washers waiting for me, as well as Torque Drive, and the next time I work on my Z06 will be with a Quick Jack for the first time. Sounds like we're on the same track!
For now the MGW definitely increased shift effort. I've still been daily driving it without anti-venom mod but I desperately needs that. Also have a replacement reverse lockout solenoid that I swapped a softer spring into.
Since you are looking for aesthetic mods , the " Best " comes at a Price . Before offering my opinion of the best path to take.. What is your budget ?????? A cheap set of wheels will cost you 1000 dollars., A good set of forged wheels " the Best " will cost 4000 to 5000 dollars.. so you can see.. knowing your budget would be my first question.

I've always been a fan of making the interior the best possible considering you use it every time you drive the car, street or track, fast or slow, so creature comforts are important to me. For my C5, I upgraded my stock pleather OEM seats and trim for Vette Essentials custom leather trim. VE is no longer in business, however there are vendors that offer similar aftermarket leather seat covers and other trim. I also upgraded my audio system by installing a double din Kenwood HU with Apple Car Play. I matched up a new trunk subwoofer and amp as well as new front door speakers.
The think my favorite and most important mod I did was my exterior lighting. HID ACA projectors and LED side markers and tail lights. It was literally a night and day difference driving at night.
From a performance perspective, I added simple bolt-ons including a Callaway Honker CAI, C5 Z06 sway bars and shocks, Corsa exhaust w/X-pipe and CCW 505A wheels.

Yeah I have a lot of trouble getting it into reverse BUT I've had a lot of cars with manuals and they required more effort also. I'm just looking for that quick shift and a smoother one. Hopefully the stuff I talked about that I learned on another thread will do the trick.

I like it? So those are seat covers? Did you replace your steering wheel? I love the headlight mod. Anything to help these old eyes to see better at night! Are the HL pretty easy to install?

I'd like to get a new subwoofer and I really like the radio upgrade.

The seats are new leather that goes over the OEM seat frame. I also installed new seat foam at the time (2012). I also replaced the steering wheel with matching leather from Vette Essentials. DSV or Vette Candy provided the steering wheel. The headlights are pretty easy. Radio Flyer is the vendor I worked with for the Bi-Xenon kit. He also provided a 4-on harness that I connect in the engine fuse box so that both the HID lows and LED highs can stay on at the same time.
