As long as they didn't damage your car or park ridiculously close, what's the big deal? As someone else already said, they probably noticed what you did and parked next to you just for a funny reaction. All the comments about messing up their car or putting tobacco on it are a little much...learn to take a joke, fellas.
This. I park my c6 way aways too, and certainly get upset if someone parks really close, but there's no law against it. As far as comments saying to vandalize the other car, you people need help, only a ***** messes with another man's vehicle.
In many plaza and mall situations employees are mandated to park in the outermost spots making sure parking is convenient for paying customers. Also the closer you park of course the more people will be going in and out all day more likely banging on your vehicle.

I'm not for ripping/cutting off the valve, but letting the air out of the tires seems appropriate. Annoying but no lasting damage. I looked around for cheap plastic valve caps you could screw on to make it quick, but nobody seems to sell anything. An idea for an enterprising soul...
My son parked his pristine VW GTI in a Walmart lot - apart from others - and on a very windy day a loose cart went into the passenger door... Result: $700.00 and listed as a collision by
Liberty Mutual... I canceled the policy as soon as I got the repair check... These insurance companies are real ****** and get you for everything they possibly can.

...better to be a real man and shoot the SOB in the foot....no one wants to be a *****...
Or when you have to wait on someone to move their car at the gas pumps because they are all inside the store shopping, using the restroom, picking a movie for the night, etc.

I always try to park away from everyone, but if I don't have that choice I try to pick a nicer car to park by instead of anything that already looks like this might have been its last trip out. I was out in my truck at the grocery store a few weeks ago and suffered the dreaded loose shopping cart event, left a 3 inch long scar on the front of my truck. I'm sure I would have had a meltdown if I been in the Vette. I think leaving a shopping cart where it can roll off is the worst violation of human decency.
I posted this response to a similar thread a few months ago. It seems appropriate....
I try to be where the door dings aren't as well. However, I know that I am not alone in the following experience:
I park at the far end of the lot knowing that inconsiderate people are also usually lazy and will not want to walk the extra 40 yards to the door of the restaurant. The lot of approximately 75 spaces is completely empty except for the three or four directly in front of the door. An hour and a half later I walk out the door of the restaurant. The lot is still relatively empty except for five or six cars near the door and the two others which are now bookending my Corvette.
I would wait for the person to come out and I'd ask them why they parked there...
Why? What do you expect to learn? its an open parking lot and a free country.
my advice is don’t worry about it, no harm no foul, lots of people on here sound as if they would do something just as ridiculous...
oh.....I forgot to add that corvettes don’t ding that easy
oh again....I also would point out that “that guy” is the last one that would hit your car with his door, note... no one has said anything about any damage done to their cars, only what damage they would inflict if someone parked too close to them...

Take it from me as I'm a retired Philly Police Officer. You don't want to confront anyone over a parking space. I've handled cases where a person was shot dead over a parking space...

I agree. It's in the news all the time, parking disputes and road rage and sometimes it ends badly.
One if the benefits of a C5. They still use keys. I would have carved that red truck up. Have had 2 people do crap like that to me. One got keyed bad the other had a big dent in his door from my foot. Hate when people do it just to be jerk especially when they part so close u can’t open ur door.

So you caused thousands of dollars in damage just because someone parked close to you? Who is the jerk?
As for the truck, looks like dealer plates. Maybe he just bought it and was not familiar with it. Hard to judge distance going from a car to a big truck.

That's the wrong thing to do and a stupid move. Cameras everywhere and you get arrested for crap like that...
