My C5 has a hitch on it, and the receiver is rectangular rather than the usual 1.25" square. I am trying to find a part number for the hitch or for the ball so I can get one for it.
I know it's a Reese hitch, because I have a cover that goes between the exhaust and it's branded, but I don't see a part number on the bar anywhere or anything like that.
Close! That one is different than mine. That's a Curt hitch with the traditional square receiver. I might have to find a phone number for Reese directly.
Update.... called Reese and the hitches were called Shadow Mounts. They aren't made anymore, sadly.
I guess I will take my existing receiver to a trailer shop and see if they can build me another one. It doesn't need to have the drop in it like the one pictured above - perfectly straight is fine. Plan is to use a ball-mount bike rack on the back of the car.
I would not modify the hitch. If you went bigger, it would look more obvious. All that drawbar is, is a flat piece of steel. You could easily have that duplicated and drilled for a hitch ball or whatever accessory you want.

Yeah, I meant the draw bar. Not the receiver. Brain fart.
I'll get a new bar made. Won't be a big deal, was just hoping I could buy one and call it a day.
Yes Corvettes pulling small trailers is nothing new. You see them at drag strips and autocross events all of the time.
Some of you guys need to get out of the garage more often.
