My C5 FRC is quietly tucked inside the garage today.....
While outside Ezekiel is upon us. I reside in the Northern High Country of Arizona at 7,000 feet, Flagstaff.....
To my dog, Snow=Fun.....
Enough fun for one day....should stop sometime tonight. We'll send it on East.
Man, those are some beautiful pictures! I know NY and Massachusetts winters too well. Moved to Florida three decades ago to start my career and never looked back. Heavy day-of snow sure is gorgeous though. Looks like your sweet red FRC is toasty. Nice! Thanks for sharing the perfect post.
I love the snow.....only if I don't have to be in it anymore. Play is one thing, but working in it, that's a whole nother ballgame. Looks like you're enjoying it and that's great.

It was in the 80's yesterday and will be today.

Living at high altitude in the Southwest has it's advantages and disadvantages. Winters can be rough with snow and cold temps, but the summers are cool and no humidity. Florida sounds great in the Winter, but I couldn't survive the humidity in the Summer. I grew up in Maryland, so I know humidity, as everybody does East of the Mississippi. Once I moved to the Southwest I was never going back. Since there is big altitude changes here, you can dial in the temps you like by finding a town at the altitude you like. I still prefer the mountains, but it does limit my C5 time in the Winter. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Now it's back out to the snow blower!!!
Once the roads are free of snow/ice/salt, take it out. One of my most pleasurable drives in winter was several days after a 2 feet snow fell with roads dry and salt free with the top down in 40 degrees.
I think you posted a picture like this last year as I remember it because I have a John Deere TRS 22 from 1994. It was my Dad's. He's gone but I kept it, in fact, I totally took it apart, sanded off any rust, primered it, and painted it with genuine John Deere yellow and green. A couple of years the left auger got bent badly (not sure why the correct shear pin didn't break) and I looked everywhere to find the part to no avail. So I got a pro to get the auger back to perfect. Shortly thereafter I found a new auger on eBay so I have a spare. I still use the snow blower.
I also have a lab that loves snow. You have a picture perfect yard.
Love seeing those Winter pictures, up North. Sure glad we don't get that kind of weather in North Texas, though. Snow and ice is pretty uncommon, here.
knewblew- Yea, it probably was a similar picture....same driveway, same John Deere and our snows are a lot alike too...LOL I've had that snow blower for 28 years. I replaced some parts for this season too. John Deere doesn't even make snow blowers anymore, so I had to find the parts on Ebay. Glad you got yours running OK. My dog looks sort of like a Lab, but he fits the description of a Plot Hound perfectly. We got him as a rescue, so who knows??? He's about 75 pounds.....

Took me about four years to fully adjust to Florida's humidity. I grew up in metro NYC and the summers could be brutal but a break always came. Now, add 30 years here and I have no issue with Florida summers. Wish we had some seasonal changes though. Like real seasonal changes. Right now, it looks like you're in a picture postcard Christmas. Enjoy!
