Default Original owners left?

Asked this a few years ago. Wondering how many original owners of C5's are left here these days?
I still have the one in my avatar. Been a great car! Bought new in November of 2004. I almost bought a 2013 anniversary edition but came up short on price. The C7 is nice but never swayed me. Can't wait to see the HTC C8. I've sat in a coupe but not for me.

1998, I’m original owner. 50000 miles. First and last new corvette. Great car, looks and runs better than new. Most of the car has been updated. Plugs, wires, wheels, tires, brakes, exhaust, air box, intake manifold, maf, tune, seat padding, and more I just can’t remember everything. 22 years, it been a great ride. And God willing a lot more years to go.

Born on date 1/26/98, The 239th Corvette delivered via the NCM R8C program on 2/14/98. Turns 22 in four days and still looks new with 44,640 smiles on the odometer.

Single owner since January 21, 2003.

Still makes me smile to crank her up and go for a long exhilarating drive.

I think this is awesome, didn't think there'd be so many original owners left.

That said, you actually oreered pewter over other colors? I always figured that was more of a dealership inventory color. What made you pick that color over the others? If you could go back and change it, would you?

Heck that's an interesting question for all of you, if you could change one thing about the car you ordered, what would it be?

To answer the question about changing anything. I can honestly say I would not change anything, although I did not special order mine/I bought from inventory.
If I buy a C8 in a year or two no matter what I opt for I know I will have doubts whether I get too many options or not enough. So many choices, and expensive ones at that.
I can afford (not bragging) any C8, but affording and justifying are two totally different things!

I ordered mine September 97. Built December 18 1997. Took delivery January 5 1998. I sat in front of a computer and all the options came up in front of me. There were no packages back then. I ordered it just the way i wanted it. One thing i didn't get were the fog lights, a 69 dollar option. At the time i said to my self, Self don't need fog lights. This makes my car fairly rare, Not many with out fog lights. All Corvettes Are Red.

You messed up by not getting the fog lights
They were standard on my '04

I still have mine, new since Sept/2004. I have around 85K miles, Only problems have been the engine's rear seal had a small leak and the oil pan developed a hairline crack.

When I ordered the car there were only 3 options I didn't select, 1) 4 speed manual, 2) body side moldings, and 3) Magnesium wheels. As Frank (Fcar98) mentioned earlier there were no "packages". Exterior color choices in early 98 totaled 9 and 4 interior choices were available.
As for picking Pewter with black interior, it just caught my eye the first time I saw one.

What would I change if reordering, nothing.
What did I change, wheels, airbox, Corsa Indy cat back/crossover, LED lighting upgrades interior/exterior, HID's

Had I known then, what I know now, I would have ordered the Z51 suspension, rather than the F45....
